Okay so during my daily routine I am so swamped with work and baby juggling that I haven't been able to pin down a consistent exercise routine. My husband and I had said at the beginning of the year that we would both join the gym and go as a family. We would utilize the day care center there and go on our happy little way.... Well, that didn't happen so I had to get creative.

I've started with little things and I'm finally starting to see a difference. Since I can't avoid  going to work. (Diapers and milk cost ya'll!) I do something different in the morning to burn calories. I park 2 blocks away so I can get so extra leg work in; and throughout the day I take the stairs instead of the elevators. So what I have to stop after the 4th flight and chill for 5 minutes. The point is I that I keep going. Before I was pregnant I could go all of the way to the top with no problem. Now, I have some work to do - but I'm getting there. I'm up the fourth flight now. When I began I could barely get to the second.

The next thing I've done was to STOP - I repeat STOP DRINKING SODA!!! That stuff is like fat in a can! And don't let the diet stuff fool you either. Yeah it says zero calories, okay but it's still full of sugar and your mind will think it's regular soda therefore not breaking you from the soda habit! It's just sugar syrup and carbonated water. From now on if I want something sweet, I'll opt for lemonade or iced tea.

My snacking has taken a turn for the better. No more Doritos for breakfast. No sweet rolls for an afternoon snack. Now I grab a piece of fresh fruit. If I'm still hungry, I grab more. Change takes time. I know my steps are small no but I'm definitely on the move!

Until next time, take care and keep moving! BTW, feel free to post your progress here too if you like.

Always,

Wendy    Cool

Dang...I have to DIET

I've come to the realization that this must be done. Nobody likes to do it, nobody wants to do it but dammit there comes a time in everyones life where the decision has to be made. Now people who see me all of the time will say say, "What the hell, Wendy? You're not FAT!" Well, "fat" is relative. I'm not "fat" in that I'm obease but in the sense that I can't get my "fat" ass in the bottom of a pair of size 10 jeans anymore. And just for the record, even skinny people who say they never diet are liars. I know, I've told that lie. At least in the since that I never dieted to loose weight but I dieted to gain weight.

(Long story short) My mom almost never cooked when I grew up - not her thing but I love her, my dad worked 16 hour shifts and groceries were a rarity. No breakfast, maybe a burrito at school and no dinner unless I fended for myself some kind of way. It's funny now because we can all afford to eat but back then we were always p.o.'d, LOL! Anywho... I was under weight with iron deficency anemia, 5'7" 115 lbs. Fine for modeling but no... I wanted to be a lawyer. So I was always trying to gain weight to look like a normal human being.

Well time passed and I did. I finally got to my ideal weight. I was cool for a few years but then a blessing came and I got pregnant. Postpartum, I was 10 pounds over my pre-preggors and didn't think that was too bad. Eventually I lost that. Well, a whole DAY AND A HALF PASSED when I finally got back to my ideal weight. Then, dump-da-da-dummm I GOT PREGNANT - AGAIN! Now I have 2 beautiful children close together and 15 pounds to loose. Well instead of just waiting to see if the weight will go away on it's own, I've decided to be proactive and try to force it away. So starting today, I will eat my last bowl of cookies and cream ice cream before bed and start to excersize and include more veggies in my diet. I've always said the goal was to never be skinny but to always live a healthy lifestyle. But DAMMIT! I WANT TO GET IN THOSE SIZE 10 JEANS! So for anyone who wants to check out  my journey to a size 10, I will be posting my progress. Here on http://www.getrightfitness.com/. So, let's shake our asses and loose some weight.

MUCH LOVE TO YOU ALL ALWAYS !
